Ruth Crilly is a model and youtuber that she had her own line called CO LAB Dry Shampoo. You might never heard of her but is safe to say that she is more of unconventional celebrity. The first release of dry shampoos comes with revolutionary sheer invisible formula. It certainly made me curious since I’ve never tried anything like this. Despite finding a good and reasonably priced dry shampoo is a life struggle.
CO LAB Dry Shampoo in the scent LONDON smells sophisticated and fresh, almost like a high end perfume. The formula is indeed very transparent and does not leave any visible white cast or traces of powder. Hair does feel refreshed but I was really missing a bit of volume and texture. This invisible dry shampoo did work well but to some extent. If your roots are really greasy and you are looking for a miracle worker, well this product isn’t it. I would most likely use it in combination with other styling products like a good salt spray to get a complete and refreshed hair look.
Normally with the standard powdery dry shampoo formulas you get that extra gritty powder that up lift your roots. When you have a bit of volume hair is easy to style and overall hair looks better. Like she listened to consumer feedback, around January Ruth released a new range called CO LAB Extreme Volume. This time around I reached out for more tropical adventure with the scent RIO. As expected the smell is sweet and fruity. This dry shampoo have the same properties as a regular product from this category. It gives good volume (but not extreme) and the much desired texture without leaving the hair crisp. Hair roots have a good grip and are not left sticky.
Personally I like the range of scents, packaging is stylish and the product itself actually measure up. The invisible formula is nice but different so it requires a bit of time to play with it to get best (for you) results.
