Drugstore reinvention of hair essentials

Drugstore reinvention of hair essentials

So many times I’ve been disappointed from high end dry shampoo and heat protection products. After learning my lesson times and times again I finally added those products to my ever growing list of drugstore purchases. Recently I found two great products wordy of honorary mention – heat protection spray and clay dry shampoo.

In the drugstore there was a new hair line called LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay and among the other products from the range their Clay-To-Spray Dry Shampoo (£3.99) seems to have the most interesting proposition. Claiy as a purifying ingredient does wonders for the skin but when it comes to hair it seems a bit unusual. What drew me the most was the invisible finish and “freshly lifted hair” effect after use. This product has settle fruity scent that does not linger for long. The formula is indeed invisible and on application the product seem to quickly evaporate.  It absorbed oils well, did not live my roots feeling gritty or sticky. Considering the non-sickly texture I was surprised of the settle but noticeable root lift. This is one of those unexpectedly good products that I highly recommend to try.

Batiste heat protection spray

Another drugstore gem is Batiste Heat and Shine Spray (£4.49). I absolutely love of the idea of dry heat protection spray that will protect my hair on day two when I decide to add few more curls. It has invisible formula, light scent, adds a shine sheen and it makes my hair slightly more gritty. Perfect for restyling and layers well with other styling products such as dry shampoo or texturizing spray.
