There are so many luxury brands out there that sometimes I get lost in the endless pile of eye shadows that are mostly same color but better. Burberry Rosewood eyeshadow is one if those shades that just gets to you. It is that perfect brown/mauve/ ash pink all over color perfect for creating quick but polish looks.
The metal magnetic packaging is definitely adding to the luxury eye shadow experience. Inside there is a compact mirror and a single applicator that I strongly recommend to get rid off. Seriously you are better off applying this eye shadow with your bare fingers. The formula is supper pigmented and buttery which makes it easy to blend. The color is very iridescent and multidimensional. Also the formula can be used wet as well as dry. Used wet the color translates ever so slightly darker. Used dry this color is perfect for days when you are in a rush, going to work or just don’t feel like spending hours on doing my eye makeup. Rosegold gives that polished and “done” effect with the minimal possible effort required. No brushes need to be involved.
The combination of colors of Burberry Rosewood eyeshadow makes it extra special, and the sole reason to spend £ 23 on single eye shadow. With purchase I also received a sample of the Fresh Glow Luminous fluid base. Inside the sample card there were some very useful (I though) application tips. In short use liquid highlighter under formation, use as highlight on cheekbones, Cupid’s bow and bridge of the nose. Last one is blend into eye shadow to create a wash of color – not sure I agree with that, but let me know if it works for you in the comments below.
