My previous encounter with the Bourjois Rouge Velvet edition was rather pleasant (here) so I nearly screamed of excitement when Happy Nude Year was finally mine. It took me awhile to track down this new and gorgeous pink nude shade since it was sold out everywhere for a good while. I will not bore you with describing the nondrying, moisturizing long lasting texture of this product. So I will move on talking about the color. Ash pink with a hint of color is my color interpretation. It is also bright enough to be noticeable on the lips but tuned down to be “office appropriate”.
Apart from the provocative name Bourjois Happy Nude Year also have a provocative long lasting power. There is no funny outside rim when it wears off. Feels very moisturizing on the lips and also works well on dry lips. I normally opt for two coats for achieving maximum intensity of color. The first coat normally goes on very creamy when seconds later it dries into more matte texture. The lip applicator is great for easily defining the shape of your lips eliminating the need for lip pencil. Bourjois Happy Nude Year really makes products like YSL Kiss & Blush really make a run for its money. Bourjois Rouge Velvet consist of nine amazing colors that can suit any occasion.
