Let’s talk about beauty trash

Once again I managed to use and collect slightly excessive amount of beauty trash during the past two months. Due to the amount of products I go through for the blog I consider every empty bottle as an achievement worth sharing.

Let’s begin with Body
Sanex Dermo Sensitive body cream, Soap & Glory Scrub ‘em and leave ‘em body buff review

Sanex Dermo Sensitive body cream wash is also a manifestation of my hoarding habits. There was a promotion of 3 for 2 on Sanex products and naturally I thought that family size seemed like the best value for money. After caring around for a while three massive bottles and then the rest of the groceries up the stairs to our apartment, I started to realize this was not such great value of my efforts after all. Surprisingly enough this version of Sanex Dermo was greatly received by Alpha Male. Due to the creamy texture and mild perfume scent this is now his favorite body cream wash that he is not willing to compromise on. Well due to its size i will for the future.
Dove Purely Pampering nourishing body oil has nice almost tropical smell and dry oil feel on the skin. Check out full review here.
Ren Wild Yam Firming, Smoothing Body Cream is probably the only 200ml body lotion I went through in a month. I figured it is all about the packaging. The pump dispenses too much product all at once and you end up layering and layering. On the packaging there are few scary words such as “firming and smoothing” implying that this product is for target audience above my current age. However, after finishing this product I could not see any visible signs of firming nor smoothing. To me it just worked as a normal and rich body lotion that happen to absorb fairly quickly. It has a light non intruding smell and keeps skin hydrated. After some research it turn out that this product will be discontinued so nothing to worry, you did not miss much.
Soap & Glory Scrub ‘em and leave ‘em body buff is absolutely fantastic product. Perfect for gently removing dead skin or simply getting rid of leftover take tan. It does the job every time without a fail. It has a pleasant smell and come with non-scratchy scrub particles. A definite repurchase.

COLab Dry Shampoo,Klorane Dry Shampoo review

COLab Dry Shampoo in London scent took some used to. When I first review this product (here) I was not totally convinced of its properties. Now I found the winning formula – just spray it in the evening and go to bed. Overnight miracles happen. In the morning you will be surprised by the good hair grip and fresh looking hair roots. This is another product to repurchase.
Shu Uemura Ultimate Remedy Extreme Restoration Shampoo for Ultra-damaged hair is ok product. I was quite happy with the hair mask from the same range so it seemed natural to try more from the line. This shampoo did not irritate my scalp and cleaned my hair well. Not so sure how to what extend it helped my dry hair restore and nourished my hair but it certainly did not do any damage. Because it did a good job I would probably circle back and repurchase this product at some point.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat milk is probably one of the best dry shampoos I have encountered. Yes it does leave a bit of white cast like any other dry shampoo out there. This product is special because of its implacable results. It absorbed greasiness so well and leaves hair looking uplifted and fresh. Texture is not sticky, smell does not linger and white powder absorbs oils quickly that in minutes almost disappears. It is hard to come across this great product but Klorane (French pharmacy) so when you do see it on the shelf make sure you stock up. At least that’s what I did.

Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Cleanser,Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial,Bioderma Hydrabio Riche Cream,Lab Series Pro LS All in one face treatment review

Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Cleanser comes in a generous sample size. This cleanser was nice and although gentle I felt that my skin is thoroughly cleansed. It has a strong rose smell and light creamy texture. Although I was not disappointed with this product there was nothing that special to make me spend that bit of extra cash on this particular cleanser.
Ecotools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge is a great alternative way to gently exfoliate your skin, check full review here. At this minute I’m on chemical peal kick so it will probably take a while before I get back to basics.
Bioderma Hydrabio Riche Cream is as mentioned before good and inexpensive daily moisturizer. Strongly recommend looking into Bioderma range for a good value essentials.
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial is probably the one product I could not wait to finish. This serum is just not that special and during use initial results just evaporate. For full review check here.
Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 30 for sensitive, combination to only skin is something I simply decided to clear up. For full detail review check here.
Lab Series Pro LS All in one face treatment is a light weight almost serum like formula for men. There are some bold claims this product makes starting from smoothing irritation, moisturizing, repairing and mortifying. Unfortunately they got only one thing right – moisturizing. It is too mild to really calm skin irritation. When it comes to repairing (fine lines and wrinkles) there was nothing to report to even after continuous daily use. I think claiming to mattify skin was probably the one thing that was completely off. Man normally have more normal to oily skin so going for products that will take the shine away is a must have requirement. This product did nothing on that front which caused the biggest disappointment of all.

Ultra Dex Mint mouth wash review

Ultra Dex Mint Flavored mouth wash is a fancy “oral rinse” with strong and refreshing mint flavor. One thing that does well is really kill bad breath and deliver non-artificial mint smell. It does not irritate gums or sensitive teeth. Ultra Dex also comes in plain flavor which I tried in the past. It definitely and new and different experience, conclusions of which are completely personal.
Helena Rubinstein Spectatular mascara is one of my absilutelly favourite mascaras. The wand is so simple and slim but yet effective. It separates the lashes so easy and give them a bit more length. Helena Rubinstein mascaras also come in such beautify packaging. Apart from cute looks there are more than one amazing mascaras to pick up from her range. Highly recommended mascara brand!
