Recently all I see in magazines and blogs is earthy color eye shadow looks and palettes. They all look great but only on darker more Mediterranean or yellow undertone complexions. As a solid and far more flattering alternative I found nude eye shadow palette that combines best of both wolds (matte and satin/shimmers). Marc Jacobs The Dreamer (212) eye palette combines the perfect gold and pretty peachy every day naturals. Now available in UK Marc Jacobs makeup is a great new brand of makeup to explore.
Marc Jacobs 212 The Dreamer eye palette consist of seven shades including three matte and four satin finish eye shadows. The color range is very wearable and every day appropriate but you can always make make your look more evening appropriate by adding bold lip or cat flick eyeliner. There are two bone/skin color shades, one light pale nude white color (matte) and one light beige with slight golden undertones (satin finish). There are two more matte essentials – peach tone nude, perfect as a base and deep brown, great for adding some crease definition. At last there are three satin finish/metallic shades in light gold, rose gold and antique gold. All shades are very tuned down but still noticeable which is ideal for somebody who is not into dramatic looks, works in more strict corporate environment or just does not want to spend more than 5-10 minutes doing her eye makeup. These eye shadows are super pigmented and long lasting which makes this palette a great staple.
Marc Jacobs 212 The Dreamer eye palette is now available in UK and cost £45 from Harrods. Before you make your next Marc Jacobs purchase check my other eye shadow review of Marc Jacobs The Starlet palette.
