One of my favorite drugstore brands of makeup brushes is Real Techniques. Bold Metals Collection is their latest release consisting of six new high quality makeup brushes. Something that stands out immediately is their beautiful and eye-catching rose gold and silver finish. Since Bold Metals Collection is a bit on the pricy side so I did managed to limit myself investing in only one of their brush.
From Real Techniques Bold Metals probably Flat Contour (301) is one of those unusual shapes that most often requires technique and experience. Despite possessing little of those I was excited to give it a go. Also the prospects of making countering less of an experiment and more of new found cheekbones really made me run for the till. At home armed with lots of patience and makeup remover I started toying with it. The shade really does help contour and bled well cream or powder products. The bristles are very soft and dance giving you more control over layering the product. Even with my limited contouring skills I managed to achieve more good results that for once looked natural.
This Contouring brush has a great angular handle that does not tend to roll over. One thing that kind of bothers me is the length of the handle and the undistributed weight. I just felt that it was unnecessary long. The overall look of the brush is also not really matching up the price range. This is a good quality brush but I felt that the flashy packaging let me down a bit.
