There is something quite unique and compelling about khaki green. This particular color it’s somewhere in between – not too dark to call it smoky or too light to fall into neutral territory. I love to play with some new shades instead of using times and times again my typical taupe and brown shades. In the spirit of the new season I recently picked up another eye shadow palette that is a bit different in color scheme. Hopefully this new gorgeous khaki green and gold eyeshadow colors could me reinvent my everyday look, without stretching myself too much out of my comfort zone.
Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Opera (GD804) looks a bit intimidation at first because of the pale blue elephant in the room. To be honest I tried to incorporate this lovely light blue shades into my look but in the end all my efforts to make it look half decent were quite unsuccessful. Moving on to the two bright stars of the show which are that lovely buttery khaki green with settle gold sheen to it and old gold type of golden shade. The quality of these eye shadows is very good since they are supper pigmented, buttery and easy to blend. Shiseido eye shadows normally have satin finish and are probably the most buttery eye shadows I own that glide on the skin so effortlessly. The khaki green shade also looks great on its own just as a wash of color, paired with some deep brown eyeliner or matte eye shadow under in the waterline.
Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio is currently discounted to half price at £18 at John Lewis which a total steal is considering the normal price is about £36.
