NYX Cosmetics is a good quality drugstore make up that I was holding up trying for a while now. And then I just went a bit crazy picking and buying any product I could get my hands on. Here is my mini NYX Cosmetics lip and eye collection that I tried and tested over the past few weeks.
NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss is shades Crème Brulee, Tiramisu and Vanilla Cream Pie. All very natural, your lips but better colors that can also fulfill your sweet tooth cravings. The texture is buttery, moisturizing, non-sticky and without having any overpowering silicon feeling. Basically everything that is to be desired by a lip gloss. NYX Butter Gloss is not overly pigmented but still deliver good amount of tint. On the lips they last considerable amount of time. Crème Brulee is this light rose pink color that makes look naturally plum and juicy. Vanilla Cream Pie is sheer brighter pink shade also perfect if you want to try introducing bolder lip colors. Tiramisu is the perfect nude color with a hint of pink, perfect for paring with everyday make up.
NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick in Pops Explosif might look a bit dark in the bullet but on the lips translates much lighter. The texture is butter and easy to glide on the lips. The color is this gorgeous pinky nude that can suit any complexion. This butter lipstick is super pigmented and last a good amount of time. At this minute this is one of my favorite shade of every day and evening lipstick. Highly recommend of checking it out.
NYX cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Nude was a bit of a wild card that did not pay off. Looking back I really don’t know what came over me when purchasing this particular shade. The name has nothing to do with the actual color. This is a very pigmented matte lipstick. The color is this light bright coral that appear on the lips as very chalky. Must say that the formula of this lipsticks is not great. It sets into lines and feels very drying on the lips. This color and texture of this matte lipstick does not work for me at all.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha and Yogurt are one of those easy to apply eye sparkly eye crayons. The shade Yogurt is a sparkly pink that looks like dark ash pink in the bullet but translates into light beige/pink nude. The formula is easy to apply but it is not very long lasting. It can be a bit patchy on the eyelids which can be preventing by packing up, layering and blending the color. I like this neutral shade but the quality was really not there for me. Iced Mocha is this gorgeous reflective brown bronzy taupe color. Again easy to apply and blend but fades and creases only after a few hours. I tried to use them with some of my trusty eyelids primers but results were still not significantly different. I forgot to mention that both colors have a wet look finish. It is a bit of a shame since the color and consistency of this Jumbo Eye Pencils is pretty spot on.
