It’s the end of the month I decided to share of my current make up favorites. Most of these products are new and never made appearance on the blog since it took me while to properly test them and decide if they deserve on my October wall of fame.
Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer £28 has quickly become one of my go to concealer when my skin is not feeling at its best. It comes as a very liquidy type of consistency and lip-gloss-like applicator, which to me is more convenient to use. I really like how light the consistency is, that provides a pretty good coverage and does not crease or cake by the end of a long day. Originally I just needed a new concealer and was on the market for nothing more or less. I was surprised to discover that this product could do so much more than I expected. After few uses I could see my dark under eye circles start to lightning little by little. Also it worked wonders on my most recent pimples I tried to cover. It was a pleasant surprise that it did not affect my already irritated skin and actually help heal and dry out my spots. I have a strong feeling that this consider will work wonders for more oiler and problematic skins as well.
L’occitane Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balm Rose Amber £12 has been my best friend throughout the month of October. I just can’t get enough of that peony scent are really love the hint of burn orange color it gives. Since I started using is regularly my lips are less chapped despite the cold weather. Also because of it I got rid of about four other lipstick/lip stick products living on the bottom my hand bag which is an achievement on its own.
Nars Audacious Mascara £21 has been my go to mascara throughout the month and since this deluxe sample is running low I seriously considering a full size purchase. It really heightens and separates the lashes like no other mascara I’ve tried or owned. Check full review and pictures here.
Current favorite perfume is Tom Ford Champaca Absolute Eau De Parfum 50ml £145 which is a bit of a splurge, I’ll admit that. This time around I just wanted to splurge on truly unique perfume that could turn into my signature scent. Part of the Private Blend this perfume does not only carry unique combination of notes but it is also described as provocative floral oriental. To me it carries heavy notes that once in contact with skin wear light and floral. The main notes are of Champaca (the magnolia-like flower),Tokajii wine, Cognac, Vanilla bean, Amber and Sandalwood. This perfume really lasts all day and wears off as light floral, perfect for day and night. If you decide to go for Tom Ford Private blend I strongly advice to try them on your skin. Most of the scents are heavy and quite overwhelming at first and translate completely different, once on.
Lion Heart Purest Omega 3 Fish Oil £28.50 is probably the best Omega 3 daily supplement I tried so far. Each gel capsule is super pure, easy to swallow and absorb by the body but most importantly have no after taste. One plastic jar contains 120 capsules and that need to be consumed 4 times per day. After I started taking these supplements religiously I could really see and feel positive improvement including no skin breakouts, even before/during that time of the month. The gel capsules did not irritate my sensitive stomach and also my stubborn digestion has also improved. Generally I feel more energized and not as easily get tired. Another thing that really convinced me into purchasing this product is its purity and the simple ingredient list consisting of 3 types of Omega and Vitamin E. Quick tip: when it comes to pure or natural products if on the ingredient list there are more than let’s say 3-5 ingredients consider this product not pure or organic.
That’s all of my current favorites that I love and continue to use in the coming months. What are your monthly favourites when it comes to skin care, let me know in the comments below.
