Looking at my beauty cabinet once can conclude that I love face oils so much so I need to have about five on rotation. I love mixing up oils with my night cream or moisturizer simply just to have that extra bit of production and lubrication that my normal to dry skin needs. Beatitude Skin Salvation Face Oil is my latest new discovery, fresh from the world of natural face oils.
The first thing that caught my eye was that Beatitude Skin Salvation Face Oil* (£38) comes in a snazzy but practical packaging. This is 100% natural product containing a great mix of Rosehip Oil, Black Cumin Seed Oil, Vitamin E and also Rose, Neroli and Immortelle essentials oils. Because of the extensive combination oils the rule of little goes a long way applies. This face oil comes with a nice dominant scent of Rose and Neroli which I personally like. So far I’ve been testing this face oil for over two weeks now and here is my verdict. Before I continue I just want to talk about some facts about face oils, despite the price or brand of the product. Face oils tend to sit on the surface of the skin, add barrier protection and tend to sink into and nourish only the topmost layer of the skin. Also, face oils used during the day perform exceptionally well in harsh and cold weather. From my experience, I can tell that Beatitude Skin Salvation Face Oil is a great product for normal to dry and mature skin types.
Over the past few weeks, I gradually incorporated this face oil to my night time routine. After cleansing I massaged a few drops (probably half of what a full dropper collects) onto my face avoiding my oily areas around my nose and chin. Sometimes I would just use it on its own, other times I will layer it over my current night time moisturizer for that extra bit of much needed skin boost. The slightly heavy consistency of my nighttime moisturizer blends incredibly well with this oil and made my skin feel instantly nourished. In the morning my skin felt very soft and moisturized. I also tried and used this product during the day. I applied it after my daily moisturizer and skipped my serum. It gave my skin a nice healthy looking dewy finish.
