Looking for affordable alternatives to use at home I spotted the brand Sanctuary Spa. The sleek design and affordable price attracted by attention instantly. As it turned out Sanctuary Spa is named after a popular daily spa in London. The product range is are part of their in-house range. Intrigued by the brand heritage, two purchases were made.
Sanctuary Spa Foaming Cream Scrub has that luxe pearly white texture that attracted me the most. The smell is kind of strong but does not linger. It reminds me of male cologne (please let me know in the comments below if I am the only one).On the skin the creamy consistency quickly turns more soapy and melts away. I have to say that there is not much foaming or not as much as I imagined. There are small scrubbing particles that exfoliate the skin very gently. After use my skin did felt very clean and cleansed. I happen to have some left over patches of stubborn fake tan. This Foaming Cream Scrub took all that away without any need for excessive rubbing. Because of the sea salts that this product contains my skin also felt a bit dry. I would definitely recommend to follow up with body oil or lotion to keep skin pump and moisturized.
Sanctuary Spa Body Lotion is a good alternative. I was not entirely sure of my purchase when I read “stimulating ginger” but luckily the note was not overpowering at all. In fact the smell is much different than the Cream Scrub. I much prefer the mix of slightly heavy fragrant notes of this product. Even if you are not a big fan of the scent, don’t worry the smell does not linger for long. Moving on to consistency it is very light and easily absorbed by the skin. My dry skin feels moisturized but most importantly very smooth.
Judging from my experience with Sanctuary Spa I would probably venture out trying more products from the brand. As added bonus Sanctuary Spa is often on offer 3 for 2 at Boots so why not give it a try.
