Spring skincare routine

Spring skincare routine

Going into a new season does require some adjustment when it comes to skincare. My spring skincare routine includes lighter textures, skipping heavy face oils, slowly introducing  serums and going full on with face masks. This are the majority of product I use during my morning and evening routine. Depending on what I am testing at the moment some products may vary. For the record I have normal to dry skin, which tend to be dehydrated at times and gets irritated quite easily.

Normally I am not that fussy when it comes to my morning cleanse. Normally I would go for a French pharmacy brand product that is very affordable. Next I would move on to eye cream and light weight serum. At the minute I am enjoying a sample of Algenist Complete Eye Renewal balm as my eye cream. The consistency is creamy, lightweight and absorbs quickly. My under eye aria feels hydrated and conceal last a bit longer when I prep my skin using this product. Algenist makes many of the usual claims trying to present this eye cream as a miracle product. So far after continuous use I did experience ever so slight brightening effect but that was about it.

Sometimes i would also use Rodial Stemcel Super-Food Facial Oil which is a five out of five star product. Using this product in the morning really depends on my night time routine. If I use nourishing oil blend before bed I tend to skip using this serum in the morning. Omorovicza Queen of Hungry Mist is one extra step that I cannot live without. Finding a good day cream is key for maintaining the good condition of your skin. Clarins HydraQuench Cream is another great discovery. It has a light whipped texture that is absorbed very quickly. It comes with a light fragrance that does not irritate sensitive skin. This say cream really helps nourish and hydrates the skin during the day and makes a great base for make up.If you suffer from redness and high skin sensitivity I strongly suggest investing into quality/luxury skincare. A trusty brand to look into is Claris – great mid-range prices and wide selection of quality products.

On most evenings I tend to apply the double cleanse rule. Next depending on my skin condition on that day I follow up with a trusty face mask. Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask is a great mask that I also always take with me a sample when I travel. It comes with a nice mild scent and a thin cream consistency. Once on it melts into your skin and leaves no trace on the skin. My skin loves this mask and tend to tends to drink it up instantly. Results are always instantly visible. It leaves skin feeling soft and plump. Next I would follow with a good quality oil or go straight to applying night cram.

Aurelia Cell Repair Night Oil, jade roller, Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask review

Aurelia Cell Repair Night Oil is a new discovery to me that happen to work wonders. It has a light floral scent to it that really gives the feeling of using a luxurious product. Once on the skin this oil feels very lightweight and it is absorbed relevantly quickly. Once a week i like to take the time to do a facial massage and also use my jade face roller. I picked up some great face massage techniques by makeup guru Lisa Eldrage (watch video below). I was a bit skeptical at first when i first got my jade roller. Despite its small size this beauty gadget really helps me reduce puffiness and increase blood circulation. For my night cream of choice I am currently obsessed by Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream. Love it!
