Wedding guest makeup

There are many rules that around the wedding guest etiquette but nobody ever talks about rules of wedding guest  makeup. So here are a few tips, do’s and dint’s that will make you look fabulous without outshining the bride.

  1. Avoid bold lips – When dressing for a wedding the golden rule is do not wear white, no matter what season it is. The equivalent of this rule in wedding guest makeup is do not wear bright lipstick. Weddings normally last a long time and most often involve the continuous act of eating and drinking. Bold lips are high maintenance and even the best long lasting formula lipstick could not stand a chance after a three course meal. Play it safe. Nudes are perfect dinner companions, plus you can always pair it with some smoky eye.
  2. Go natural – Avoid the looks of disapproval by ditching false lashes and choosing a combination of volume and lengthening mascara. Layering different mascaras can really work in your favor and deliver the same full lashes look. Plus you will be avoiding any struggles during application.
  3. Do prime your skin – of course you want to look fabulous after hours of entertainment. Face primers, eye lid primer, under eye primer, eye lash primer…just use at least two and everything is going to be all right.

Special occasion such as weddings are also a reason to look (and feel) at your best. After all you never know who might be next.
