I love when makeup brands innovate and bring to market new, exciting and sometimes unconventional beauty products. These new lipsticks come with very unusual applicator and gel-to-powder matte formula. Willing to take a chance and may be discover a new product that I will love I decided to trail few of the matte nude lipstick shades from the range.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Max Lip range is limited to six shades mostly covering intense color shades such as pinks, red and even purple. The sponge like applicator is comes in a good size, it is quite convenient to use and works well outlining the lips. The pigment is stored inside the lid so you can dip in it with the sponge application if you want to add more pigment. On the lips the formula feels very comfortable and have true matte finish. The colors are very true to the color on the packaging making the selection process a bit easier. In terms of pigmentation, after a single layer is applied it gives more of a tinted wash of color. The formula is really easy to build up and even after applying several layers it didn’t feel heavy or slippery on the lips. After a few hours the color washes off easily which makes me believe that the stronger colors from the range might not be the best choice. I almost wish there is more nude and mauve shade options to pick from. Silencio 001 is a classic peachy nude shade while Virgin 002 is more of a light pink fuchsia color that looks very feminine and girly on the lips.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Max Lip sticks come in six colors and cost £6.99.
